SRINAGAR: Nationwide Conference vice president and previous Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah on Sunday criticized the BJP for disrupting communal harmony and accused Ghulam Nabi Azad’s DPAP of aiding the BJP in dividing secular votes in Jammu and Kashmir.
Abdullah campaigned for INDIA bloc applicant Choudhary Lal Singh in Ramban district. In the Udhampur-Kathua constituency, Congress’ Lal Singh is challenging BJP’s Jitendra Singh, with DPAP’s G M Saroori also in the race.
Abdullah questioned DPAP’s motives for fielding a prospect only in Udhampur and accused Azad of playing into BJP’s fingers. He expressed disappointment in Azad, saying the Countrywide Convention experienced supported him, but he ended up aligning with the BJP.
